Where Is My Serial Number
On all Yanmar tractors that start with "YM" you will find the serial number as shown in the picture below. It will be stenciled into the housing so, if it has been re-painted, the stencil may full of paint & be very hard to see.
Normally the serial number will be preceded by the tractor model number (some '02 & '20 series tractors will not though). The serial number will ALWAYS be 5 numbers - no letters.
These serial numbers contain NO data about options or year the tractor was manufactured like a VIN number on a car would. These are purely incremental and probably started at around # 00001 and most models went up to around 50000.
