Oil leaking from crancase vent tube

Q- My tractor is leaking some oil from the crankcase Vent tube.Is that a big problem or is it easy to solve?

A- It is normal to leak a little oil out of that tube- even on a new engine. That is just the way diesel engines work.

It is hard to say if it is excessive without being there but if it is bad enough that you think you need to fix it you can check to be sure that the baffle is still in the top of the valve cover where the hose attaches. If it is still in place then the only way to fix the "blowby" is by putting new piston rings in the tractor.... sort of a big job and I would not do it unless the tractor was getting hard to start.
