Upgraded design featuring a twist on cap and replaceable brass hose barb.
THIS TANK SHOULD BE FILLED WITH DIESEL. IT FLOWS TO YOUR THERMOSTART UNIT. WHEN YOU ENERGIZE THE THERMOSTART, A TINY AMOUNT OF FUEL GETS BURNED INSIDE IT & MAKES EXTRA HEAT TO HELP YOUR TRACTOR START. SINCE DIESEL ENGINES DONT HAVE SPARK PLUGS THEY RELY ON PRESSURE & HEAT TO START. THE WARMER THE INCOMING AIR - THE EASIER THEY START.
Shop Notes: Why is this tiny plastic tank so expensive? The difference between this
tank and your $0.49 plastic toothbrush, for example, is the production
volume. A company might place an order for 750,000 toothbrushes so the
cost of all of the design, molds, and production can be broken up over
those 750,000 pieces. These bottles only fit a few Japanese import
tractors and the sales volume is in the single digits per year. All of the cost of producing this part must be divided into just a relatively few pieces.
