Starter Warranty Update
Most electrical parts can not be returned once they are installed BUT we have worked out a deal with our supplier to offer a better warranty on these starters. All starter warranty issues will now be handled by the manufacturer"s distributor. They will determine if the starter will be repaired or replaced or if the failure was obviously due to abuse.

Warning: If you are putting this on a YM155 (D), YM1100 (D), YM135 (D), or YM1300 (D) - Please measure the length of your old starter and contact us. There are two options and this starter might hit the oil filter housing. Those 4 tractors are the only models with a potential problem.
Shop Notes: There is a big tractor parts wholesaler that is selling a cheap starter
that "should fit" the Yanmar tractor. The new starter they are selling does not even
have the correct number of teeth & the starter does not engage far
enough into the flywheel (it just barely catches). After a few starts
your teeth will be stripped off of your flywheel & often no warranty
is available on used electrical parts. Don"t waste your money! You
would be amazed at how many calls we get from customers that tried those
starters. Most of those dealers list their starter as replacing dozens
of models of Yanmar starters. Think about it... if they could all be
replaced with 1 starter why did yanmar make so many different models?
BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT THE SAME! You can not use an 9 tooth starter in a
11 tooth application. You can not use a smaller starter where a bigger
starter motor is needed- you will burn out the motor very quickly. Our
starters are correct. Yanmar parts are all we do!
