Engine Won't Turn Over

Hey Aaron,
Was trying to start tractor the other day in cold weather. Turned over (a little slow) but wasn't catching. Then all of a sudden it stopped turning over.
1) I get dash lights
2) There is 12 volts to the starter.
3) No voltage, but a tiny needle blip, at the starter ignition terminal (B) when the key is turned.
4) Performed your: https://www.hoyetractor.com/starter-test.htm
Screwdriver jump from A to C got nothing.
Screwdriver jump from A to B sparked a little, but nothing else.

Do you think my starter is fried?

The A to C test result is the most helpful I think. That indicates either a bad connection somewhere (often a bad ground where the wire attaches to the frame of the tractor) or a bad solenoid.

A good test would be to attach the volt meter WHILE doing the A to C test. Be sure to attach the meter's ground to the engine or frame (not the battery... since we are trying to be sure the engine and frame are grounded correctly). If voltage stays at 12+ then it is a bad solenoid. If it drops to zero then it is a bad connection.

Hope that helps,
Aaron
